Georgetown, Penang (Malaysia)

We actually went there for the World Music festival, which was… interesting. The rest of the town was worth it though.

Vientiane, Laos

Thoughts about Vientiane: Fun people, lots of temples and monks, lots of silk, and of course spicy food (I’m hopeless, will never get used to it). We also did a herb sauna in the forest, in a hut made of bamboo; drank a very good local coffee; talked French with many Lao people and had the biggest cheese soufflé ever. And I will remember forever the smell of the shrimp paste, wish I’d never opened that box…

Sam Poh Tong Temple, Ipoh

Who had the idea to build a temple in a cave? Really impressive.

Waiting a hour for the rain to stop:

Cameron Highlands

Last weekend we went to the Cameron Highlands, which is supposed to be the “cold” region of Malaysia: 21°C…
Lots of tea, flowers, strawberry fields and butterflies/moths (ewww).
